The first ever Alcohol-free Bash was held on 15th December 2013 at Maun Bus rank, this was a one day Youth Awareness spectacular for Youth aged between 15 and 25 years aimed at emphasising on issues affecting them on a day to day basis. The activity involved local performing artists to sensitize the youth about Alcohol abuse, Gender Based Violence, HIV and AIDS.

The word Fun-Taa is a combination of two words- Fun which is a well known fact that youth like having a lot fun in different ways some of which end up getting them in danger. Taa– is a slang word mostly used to thank someone and in this case WAR is thanking the youth for their efforts in helping to fight the Alcohol Abuse war and also thanking them for having fun in a more responsible way without ALCOHOL.

The word Fun-Taa can be translated to FANTA which is a soft-drink, here we want to show people that we can have FUN with just a soft drink and music.
