The Mission of WAR is to promote gender equality, prevent and respond to gender based violence through public education, advocacy, research, and survivor support.
WAR Whistleblowing Policy
At Women Against Rape (WAR), we are committed to creating a safe, transparent, and accountable environment for everyone we work with. Our Whistleblowing Policy outlines how staff, volunteers, beneficiaries, partners, suppliers, and members of the public can safely report any concerns about wrongdoing, misconduct, safeguarding issues, corruption, fraud, or breaches of WAR policies.
We treat all reports with utmost seriousness. You can raise concerns confidentially or anonymously, and no one will face retaliation for reporting in good faith. Every report is handled sensitively, recorded securely, and investigated promptly in line with our internal procedures and Botswana’s legal framework.
This policy reinforces WAR’s commitment to integrity, survivor protection, and ethical conduct across all our programs and partnerships. We encourage anyone who observes or experiences behaviour that undermines these values to speak out.
